Strengthening civil society in rural areas

January 2017

The ERASMUS + Project "Pro Rural Europe" (PRORURE) was approved and successfully launched.

The aim of the Project "Pro Rural Europe" PRORURE is the strengthening of civil society in rural areas. Under the leadership of the International Rural Development Service (ILD), nine organizations from Europe have joined forces to exchange best practice concepts of active participation in rural areas between them, to implement pilot projects locally and to network their activities.

OEC had consultative supported the application in the EU Erasmus Plus program and has now taken over the counseling of networking and organizational development at the European level in the project. The guiding principle is the subject "Europe in responsibility and solidarity", which was already discussed at the kick-off event at the end of 2016. Now after the following intentional working meeting in the partner countries, the final event has been planned in Brussels in September 2018, to, inter alia, to talk to the representatives (male and female) of the EU Commission.
