Opening ceremony of the German Center of Competence in Tuzla

On March 22nd 2017, the german Competence Center for Robotics (DRK) was ceremoniously opened in Tuzla (Bosnia and Herzegovina). A robot cut the red ribbon through.

The DRK is a project of the Masterwerk GmbH from Germany. Local co-operation partner for curriculum development is the University of Tuzla. In addition to the german ambassador in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mrs. Christiane Hohmann, the mayor of the town of Tuzla, Mr. Jasmin Imamović and the Prime Minister of the Canton Tuzla, Mr. Bego Gutić gave the opening speech.

Local robotics trainers are trained in the center, and pilot training courses are held for students and specialists of the metal industry. The project was funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by “sequa GmbH”. OEC has advised the project conception and application for funding.
