Introduction of experiential learning at schools in Bosnia and Herzegovina

July 2017

In co-operation with the Ministry of Civil Affairs in Sarajevo, OEC initiates, coordinates and manages a project for the Introduction of Experiential Learning in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

After baseline research and concept design (phase I), the project development is in its final concept design (phase II). For the preparation of the project, the different ministries of education (Republika Srpska, ten cantons of the Muslim-Croatian Federation, Brčko district, Federal Ministry of Education) nominated a technical team. The main activities of the project encompass training teachers and introducing experiential learning at selected primary schools nation-wide for strengthening key competences of pupils. The positive experiences of local non-governmental organizations and international education experts are incorporated into the concept design and implementation. The first three years of the implementation are planned to start in 2018 with subsequent follow-up.
